    Editing Made Easier

    First, it’s been WAY TOO LONG since I last wrote a blog post. One of my goals for 2017 is to remedy that. I’m shooting for one post a month. The themes will be similar to years’ past: writing, romance, and self-care of writers. Here goes. Let’s start with editing. While I wouldn’t say I’m a slow writer, I definitely fear that I’m a slow editor. One of my goals is to get faster at writing and editing my novels.     Pardon the Construction

    Hello! Please don’t mind the mess. I’m updating my website, deciding what needs to stay (and how to get it where I want it) and what needs to go. I love this new theme. It’s called Sela. I’m just trying to figure out how I want it to look. I’m going for something more streamlined. I’m also deciding on the layout: blog version or more of a landing page. Gah. Decisions, decisions.     April Showers of Editing and Mayhem

    I should be editing–and I am–but I’m taking a quick break to blog. Blogging clears my mind, relaxes me, and helps me focus. Forward progress on my WIP is moving along. I’m on my third draft. The editing has been heavier than I imagined, but it’s all for the better. There were ideas I plugged in on the first draft that I’ve taken out. For instance, my hero had WAY TOO MANY superpowers. Not quite Batman-level toys, but more like several that were random. On this edit, I’ve pared them down to just what he needs. I can’t make it too easy on him. So, editing is going forward. Slower…
