    Editing Made Easier

    First, it’s been WAY TOO LONG since I last wrote a blog post. One of my goals for 2017 is to remedy that. I’m shooting for one post a month. The themes will be similar to years’ past: writing, romance, and self-care of writers. Here goes. Let’s start with editing. While I wouldn’t say I’m a slow writer, I definitely fear that I’m a slow editor. One of my goals is to get faster at writing and editing my novels.     JuNoWriMo and New Adult Projects

    Hello! I met my wordcount goal today, so I’m feeling like I have the time (ha-ha) to blog. But, in fact, I do! It’s nearly summer and that means that JuNoWriMo, the June Novel Writing Month, cousin to the popular November version, is here. I’ve “done” JuNo for a few years now, but I’ve yet to win it. June has proved to be super busy, so my odds of adding another 50,000 words to my WIP are maybe 50/50 at this point. I’d like to win a JuNo, but we’ll see. Either way, I love the push of daily wordcount goals and the extra solidarity of twitter friends doing wordsprints.…

    Wow! I’m a 2016 Romance Writers of America Golden Heart® Finalist!

    OMG. I’m so excited. My paranormal romance, Kissed at Midnight, is an RWA Golden Heart Finalist! I got the call on Friday, March 25th. My family was home together due to the holiday. I had been following #RITAGH updates on twitter, my cell phone at my side just in case. When my landline rang, I thought it was someone doing surveys.
